Flags for Fallen Vets
On the day before Memorial Day the Houston A&M Club joins thousands of other volunteers to place over 80,000 flags at Houston National Cemetary. The following Saturday, rain or shine, volunteers return to recover the flags, clean and store them.
This year’s Flag Recovery will take place on:
Date: Saturday, June 4th
Time: 9:00 a.m. – Noon (approximately)
Location: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038.
We will meet and start at Sections U/U1’U2 (at the back of cemetery). Jim Thorpe ’78 will provide you with a map.
Additional Information: Please wear your Maroon and White and bring a 5 gallon buckets (or something similar to collect flags), rags, folding or camp chair and bottled water.
