Flags for Fallen Vets
VOLUNTEER UPDATE: We have reached our volunteer capacity for Flag Placement on Sunday, May 30. Thank you to everyone who is will be helping with this special day of service. We are still in need of volunteers for Flag Recovery on Saturday, June 5 (details below).
Flag Placement: On the day before Memorial Day the Houston A&M Club joins thousands of other volunteers to place over 80,000 flags at Houston National Cemetary. No matter the weather, all flags go out or none.
This year’s Flag Placement will take place on:
Date: Sunday, May 30
Location: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038.
We will meet and start at Sections U/U1’U2 (at the back of cemetery) CLICK HERE to link to the Houston National Cemetery site and click on “Cemetary Map” on the right side of the page.
Arrival Time: 8:00 a.m.
Flag Placement: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (approximately)
Additional Information: Please wear your Maroon and White, bring TOOLS that can make a hole in the ground (e.g. Phillips head #3 screwdriver, or any rod the diameter of your little finger) and make sure to bring your water.

Special note: There are 27 Aggies interned at this Cemetery. After initial flag placement, a special group of Ags will place a small ATM flag at each grave site.
If you cannot participate in person that day, but would still like to help, please consider contributing to Flagsforfallenvets.com for the Houston National Cemetery. Donations helps resupply flags, and cover transportation and storage. Any amount helps.
