Flags for Fallen Vets
On the day before Memorial Day, rain or shine, the Houston A&M Club joins thousands of volunteers to place over 80,000 flags at Houston National Cemetery. The following Saturday, rain or shine, we return to recover the flags, clean and store them.
Flag Placement – Sunday, May 26th
Arrival Time: 8:00 a.m.
Flag Placement: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. (approximately)
Location: Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77038
We will meet and start at Sections U/U1/U2 (at the back of cemetery).
Additional Information: Please wear Maroon and White and bring TOOLS that can make a hole in the ground (e.g. Phillips head #3 screwdriver, or any rod the diameter of your little finger). Also be sure to bring WATER to stay hydrated in the heat.

Special note: There are 27 Aggies interned at this Cemetery. After initialĀ flag placement, a special group of Aggies will place a small Texas A&M flag at each grave site.
